Hair Restoration Treatments

Support hair growth only after understanding why it is thinning.

Hair restoration is not a single injection or supplement. At Mira Clinic, treatment planning begins with the pattern and likely cause of hair loss, because female pattern thinning, telogen effluvium, nutritional deficiency and scalp disease require different management.

Scalp pattern assessment

Assessment Before Treatment

We review the distribution and duration of thinning, shedding pattern, family history, scalp symptoms, recent illness, stress, pregnancy, weight change, diet, medication and hormonal history where relevant.

When Investigations Are Useful

Blood tests may be recommended when the history suggests iron deficiency, thyroid dysfunction, nutritional issues or other systemic contributors. Testing is selected according to the patient rather than ordered as the same panel for everyone.

Treatment May Have Several Parts

Depending on the diagnosis, management may include evidence-based medical treatment, correction of identified deficiencies, scalp or clinic-based regenerative approaches, lifestyle or nutrition support where relevant, and longitudinal monitoring.

Supplements Are Not the Diagnosis

Hair supplements can be useful when they correct an actual deficiency or dietary gap. They should not delay investigation of progressive thinning or be used as a substitute for diagnosing the cause.

Clinic-Based Hair Treatments

Where appropriate, procedural or regenerative hair treatments may be discussed as adjuncts. Their expected benefit and limitations should be considered in the context of the underlying diagnosis rather than marketed as a guaranteed regrowth solution.

When Referral Is Important

Patchy loss, scarring, significant scalp inflammation, rapid progression or an atypical pattern may require dermatology input or additional medical investigation.

Frequently Asked Questions

How soon can I see new hair?

Hair cycles are slow. Meaningful visible change usually needs months, and early reduction in shedding may occur before obvious density improvement.

Do I need lifelong treatment?

That depends on the diagnosis. Chronic pattern hair loss often requires ongoing management, while shedding from a temporary trigger may follow a different course.

Can treatment restore completely bald areas?

The answer depends on follicle viability and the cause and duration of hair loss. Medical and procedural treatments have limits.
